Our Services
At OPM, we offer numerous services to meet all our customers’ needs.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining
This automated metal fabrication technique relies on written code and computer software to operate milling, turning, and multi-axis CNC machines. This includes equipment like grinders, lathes, mills, laser cutters, and water-jet cutters for generating three-dimensional components. At OPM, we pride ourselves on providing industry-leading CNC machining for increased production speeds and economical accuracy.
Custom Alloys
We can customize stainless steel, nickel-based, and other various metal alloys to meet our customers’ unique requirements. We contract with three China steel mills for high-quality raw materials suitable for drilling or exposure to corrosive chemicals.
Material Analysis
At OPM, we know that we cannot manufacture precision components without using quality materials. Through third-party laboratories, we complete metallographic, chemical composition, mechanical property, and intergranular corrosion testing to guarantee superior raw materials for production.
Heat Treating
By heating and cooling a metal material, heat treatments can generate beneficial properties within a workpiece, typically for harsh conditions and rugged applications. OPM offers carbon steel quenching, carburizing, passivation, pickling, quench polish quench (QPQ), nitriding, and stainless steel solution treatments to improve durability, resistance to pressure and corrosion, and more.
Machining
The concept of machining encompasses numerous multi-stage subtractive methods for shaping a component, utilizing a cutting tool to discard blank material and form a part in a specific size, shape, and surface finish. OPM uses rough and final machining procedures as well as stress relieving to maintain part consistency and prevent defects for high-quality products within the shortest time possible.
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
A subtractive manufacturing technique, wire EDM forms components from conductive metals utilizing electrical current, an electrode wire, and heat to cut complex parts away from a metal sheet. This economical electrothermal process is suitable for a wide range of materials, including carbon-based varieties. At OPM, our equipment is fast, efficient, and produces highly accurate and repeatable cuts that don’t require secondary finishing.
Inspection
At OPM, we understand the importance of reliable performance when manufacturing critical components. That’s why our team completes a comprehensive inspection of products and machining processes, including a 100% full dimensional and visual analysis. We also engrave all of our parts with serial numbers for guaranteed traceability from raw material to end product.
Contract Assembly Services
By carrying out assembly operations in the company’s own plant, OPM ensures the quality of complex engineered, critical to manufacture products and can effectively protect the intellectual property of its customers. OPM is able to guarantee that products are built to the same high standards companies have come to expect from suppliers in domestic developed countries.
Tube Rolling & Cold Drawing
Tube rolling or bending is a manufacturing method that rolls materials into hollow tubes or tubular components utilizing a mold and heat curing. It also involves various finishing processes, such as riveting, welding, cutting, bending, fastening, and powder coating. At OPM, we perform a cold drawing process to strengthen tubes and ensure they perform well individually, in larger assemblies, or in critical tasks.
